The Nursery

As innovation progressed, the children are relying upon the automated machines as opposed to their parents. From the book called The Veldt by Ray Bradbury, whenever Peter and Wendy’s parents punish them in any way, the machines bring them comfort. One of the original uses of nursery was so that people could study the patterns left on the walls by the child’s mind and use it to help the child. Though the room turned into more of a mother and father figure and far more important in their lives than their real parents. In reference, innovation and technology has become a vital part in our lives to the point where we think we can’t live without. This story is meant to show you what our future will be like if we tend to rely on technology as they did. People wouldn’t be able to take care of themselves, let alone feel or think.
